Hello!!!!!! Well the wedding is all said and done and it was the absolute most perfect day of my entire life!!! The whole day I was eerily calm right up until about 4 minutes before I walked down the isle. When I finally reached my handsome groom I could tell he was nervous too because he was SQUEEZING my hand like a woman in labor! hahahaha But seriously I cannot even explain what I was feeling because there are no words that could describe the awesomeness of that day.

I love my Husband!!!!

Until next time,

Blog Assignment

Hello bloggers!

For my Educational Technology class we were asked to look around for some educatonal blogs that you can use as a classroom teacher. Well even though This is an assignment and I am required to do this for my grade.. I an really glad I did. I had no idea that these blogs even existed and I want to share a few I found.

The first one is Oak Ridge Elementary 4th grade: http://oakridgefourthgrade.edublogs.org/ This blog gives you a chance to follow what the class is doing and gives you provides links to different activities you can do with your class. Another blog is Broken Airplane: http://www.brokenairplane.com/ I loved this one because in one of the post is says that new technology and old teaching methods do not improve test scores. You also have to "update" your way of teaching. It also gives you a list of resources you can go check out and a blogroll that you can use to find other similar blogs. It talks alot about technology in the classroom. My favorite one I checked out is Mrs. Cassidy's Classroom: http://classblogmeister.com/blog.php?blogger_id=1337/ I loved this one because the teacher gives you real life experience of the teaching world. She posts videos of her class and activities she has done with them, for example, hatching eggs. I also like how she gives her class a chance to skype with a classroom clear across the world and tell eachother what they learned.

The two blogs I am currently subscribed to via RSS are Learning is Messy; http://learningismessy.com/blog/, and New Zealand class: http://classblogmeister.com/blog.php?blogger_id=1638.

So if you are an aspiring teacher, such as myself, check out some educational blogs or start one for yourself. They are a great way to keep parents updated and I know the kids will have fun looking back at what they did and maybe seeing videos of themselves.

Thanks for Reading!!

up date

120 DAYS!!!
(I never posted pictures of the ring <3)

I feel like the wedding is really close & there is still a lot to do. Hopefully we will get our engagements done soon by my big brother Jon & then I can get my bridals done. Still need to figure out how we want to decorate the yard for the wedding but I need to see it again so we can discuss what to do.

Okay now for the BIG NEWS!! after months of searching for a place to live in Logan we FINALLY found the PERFECT place. 2 bed, 1 bath, and a decent sized living room & kitchen, close to campus & Mike's work & it's $475/month + utilities. (I'll post pictures in like 10 days when we move in.)

Also I had a job interview at Olive Garden on Monday & I am going in for a second interview today with the general manager so wish me luck! Hopefully this job works out so I can start helping with the bills ASAP. Mike is the best for taking care of me & I feel bad that he buys everything so hopefully this will all change.

                                                               I LOVE HIM!!

Since there isn't that much time before the wedding & I need to get back into shape, I have signed a contract with myself to try and work out everyday at least a little so that I can have that ideal 'bikini body' when we go on our honeymoon. When I tried on my dress after having it altered it was a little tight, which is good I guess so it doesn't fall down but I don't want to feel too constricted so I want to tone up to be perfect for the Wedding Night :)

I'll keep you posted on the plans and the weight loss.

Our Story Part Two: The Engagement!

I realized that I told the story of how we met and got to this point but I left out the engagement!!

On December 31st, 2010 (New Years Eve) Mike and I went on a date, first to dinner at Sizzler and then to a movie:) After that, Mike asked me what we should do for the count down and I suggested that we find a nice spot with a good view of the city and just listen to the count down on the radio, to which he replied, "Perfect! I actually know a good place where I used to go fourwheeling with my friends." (little did I know that was his plan all along, He and his buddy had even scoped the place out the night before.) Well it was still a few hours to midnight so we headed back to his parents house.. however on the way there the check engin and ABS lights came on in my car but the manual said it was no big deal, I just needed to get it serviced asap. Well we got to his house and played a little poker with his parents.
When 11:30 rolled around we decided to head to the spot he had picked out which was somwhere in the middle of Bachas Highway. Well.... on the way there my car was acting funny again and out of nowhere, the lights on the dashboard went out and we lost power steering so Mike pulled over and turnned the car off... And then it wouldn't start again... It broke down right at the bottom of a hill, not too far from where we were supposed to go.. (20 minutes to midnight)
We didn't know what to do but it was freezing so Mike got out of the car to get a blanket out of the trunk and while he was out there he called his mom and told her what had happened. He told her to wait 20 minutes and then come get us. So Mike and I huddled up in the car and talked about things like our favorite memories from the last year and he asked me what I wanted to have accomplished by next year.. I told him that I wanted to be engaged and that I was going to try for a 4.0 GPA next semester..
Well at 11:59 I started to do a pretend count down. 10, 9, 8, 7... When out of nowhere Mike gets out of the car and runs around to my side 6, 5... He kisses me 4... He tells me that he loves me and kneels down in a foot of snow 3, 2, 1... He said, "Will you Marry Me?" HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! I was so shocked that I asked if he was being serious and started to cry. Then I said "YES!!!" and we kissed and hugged and cuddled in the car until his parents finally came to pick us up:)

It was absolutely perfect.. Broken down car and all :)

In my room all giddy the night I got engaged:)

Making Progress

Soooo, we have gotten some BIG things accomplished as far as the wedding planning goes.

     > Place --- My grandma's backyard.
     > Photographer --- Effervescentmediaworks. (she does an amazing job and is reasonable priced!)
     > Wedding dress --- IT IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!
     > Tuxes --- check! We were just planning to look but we found ones that matched our colors almost exactly so we decided to just go ahead and do it!
     > Flowers --- Harmons does a wonderful job and it's CHEAP!

So we have a lot of the main things down but there is still a lot of planning to go. We need to decided on food and a cake design (luckily my aunt is a wonderful cake decorator) and we need to figure out what time to have the ceremony and reception but we are definitely making progress!!
